Classic Hot Fudge Sundae — Vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, lightly salted peanuts, whipped cream, and a maraschino cherry on top.
Turtle Sundae — Butter pecan ice cream, whole toasted pecans, hot fudge, and caramel sauce.
Strawberry Shortcake Sundae — Strawberry ice cream, crumbled shortbread cookies, warm strawberry jam, whipped cream, fresh sliced strawberries.
Mint Chocolate Sundae — Mint chocolate ice cream, crumbled mint chocolate cookies, hot fudge, whipped cream.

Learn to Make Your Own Ice Cream
Making ice cream from scratch is easy to do, it just takes time, practice, and patience. Start by purchasing a quality automatic ice cream maker, like this one from Cuisinart. It will do the churning for you, making your life much easier. Then, find a recipe for the kind of ice cream you hope to make. Some recipes are custard based, meaning they include the use of eggs. Others omit the eggs for a sweeter, less rich flavor. (Think vanilla bean ice cream versus french vanilla ice cream.) The easiest recipes just combine half-and-half and sugar, plus any flavorings or mix-ins you want to add. If you are looking to make non-dairy ice cream, there are a ton of options out there for that too, just search for the dairy substitute you hope to use.

Instructions:
Download the free printable PDF Ice Cream Date Invite, Sundae Toppings Menu and Cherries on Top Bedroom Game below and print on high-quality cardstock at home or at your local printing and shipping store. Cut out the pieces (we recommend using a portable paper cutter). Then, gather the things you’ll need.
Deliver the invite to your date. You could text the digital version, or leave the printed version out on the counter one morning, send it via snail mail, pin it to your fridge, or come up with something else creative.
Let your date choose their desired sundae flavor combination or freestyle choice of toppings using our Sundae Toppings Menu. Mark your own choices on the checklist too, then head to the grocery store to pick up your toppings. You do this in advance or head to the store together
If making your own ice cream, you’ll need to plan ahead a bit. Combine the ingredients for your ice cream flavor of choice, then follow the instructions for your ice cream maker. It may take a few hours, so watch a movie or eat dinner in the meantime.
